What an eventful food filled day! 🙂
First of all Happy World Nutella Day!! Yes, that’s a real thing!! And of course in true Nutella obsessed fan tradition I went my My Old Dutch based in Holborn (but that’s a whole other post altogether!)
On my ventures today a friend and I ended up in Harrods (standard protocol), we made our way to the bag hall and gaped at Chanel bags for a while… (Again, standard) having got that out the way, we decided to get some food. Now, we usually always go to the food hall or ice cream parlour but we ended up at The Georgian on 4th floor of Harrods by the kids section (which by the way also has The Disney Cafe.. Amazing if you have kids.. Or even if you don’t!!)
The first thing you notice when you get to The Georgian is the decor, it is just beautiful!!
We eventually sat down after taking a million pictures with the statue in the middle .. We sat down and ordered some tea and dessert.
I went for the Chocolate hazelnut delice with orange marmalade jelly and the Bai hao Zhen silver needle tea.
The dessert was just supreme to say the least. The slightly bitter chocolate cheesecake was a perfect companion to the sweet, creamy hazelnut ice cream.
The staff were so very attentive – after enquiring about whether their food was halal or not, they said their chicken was but that if I wanted anything other than chicken they could quickly source it for me from one of their sister restaurants. They also offered to charge my phone which basically in my eyes is a winner (anyone with an iPhone 6 knows what a blessing this is)
The decor, although understated, is just right. The decadence and elegance of The Georgian fits just right with the decor. The white and gold states elegance whilst the statues are a huge statement of the type of food and luxury that The Gerogian, and Harrods overall, are looking to go for.
Food 7 / 10
All in all, I would give The Georgian at Harrods at 7 out of 10
Check it out for yourself guys 🙂
