And afternoon tea week keeps on coming in all shapes and sizes! I had a nice little stroll around London town today and found myself in the cutest tea house along Islington HIgh Street, Piacha Tea Bar.
If you’re anything like me and my family, we love a cup of tea. Whether that is desi chai or flavoured teas with an afternoon tea.
Piacha, literally translates as “drinking tea”, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. WIth almost 25 types of different teas to choose from, Piacha lives up to it’s name.
I was offered to choose 4 different teas to go with the mini afternoon tea. Its a bit of an afternoon tea tradition to go for either Jasmine tea or any kind of white tea so I though I’d branch out and chose Roibus Fudge, Roibus Cinnamon, Mint Choc and Apple Mint. It was a real tough choice choosing 4 out of a wall full of tea flavours.
The interior is so cute, the red sofas make for a cosy corder and not to mention the vrick walls are great for taking pics!
Not to mention their adorable seating area downstairs, any place with a bookshelf and I’m sold!
And now onto their adorable mini afternoon tea..
The afternoon tea was great! The mini sandwiches and desserts were deceiving in size and so filling..Little old me couldnt finish it off on my own! Double chocolate cake, Herb and Hummus sandwiches, Smoked Salmon sandwiches, Fruit and Berry Tart.
The fruit tart was my favourtie, it was smooth and the fruits made for a very fresh and light dessert. The chocolate cake was a little too rich for me, but was so delicious in taste. The sandwiches were a little dry for me, but again in taste wer great! The hummus one was my favourite for sure!
This afternoon tea is priced at £15 per person, but there has to be a minimum of 2 people for the tea.
Overall, it was such a great experience. Piache Tea Bar is a lovely place to hang out if you’re in the area, and even more so if like me you’re a lover of all different teas.
