I have always been so close to my culture, a huge part of which is food. Regardless of which part of South Asia you’re from, you know we all love our food so much!
The recently opened Bombay Bustle (the baby sister restaurant to the ever popular Jamavar). has had alot of buzz on social media. So, naturally, when Halal Dining Club wanted to catch up at Bombay Bustle I knew I was in the right hands!
We headed down for lunch, considering it was a weekday, it was actually quite busy. The restaurant is not huge but definitely a good enough size, the tables weren’t right next to each other which I loved.
And then we ordered… I love the concept of small sharing plates at Bombay Bustle. Both HDC and I have massive sweet teeth, so we opted for a few sharing plates and dessert. (And if the reputation of the desserts at Jamavar are anything to go by, we knew we were in for a treat!)
We got the Trio of Dosas…. which I absolutely loved – not to be missed (I’d probably go back just for these)
The desserts were great – my favourite was the Jalebi Cheesecake!
The service was great.. the waiters kept checking to see if we were okay (and no it wasn’t because we were foodies, they didn’t even know that till the owner showed up) Overall, I loved the food, the dishes were small, yet decently proportioned enough that we were able to share.
Disclaimer – this post has been sitting in my drafts for a while, Bombay Bustle opened in December 2017! (Sorry folks)
