Life has its ways of taking over sometimes. I have been meaning to write this post for about 3 months now. But I thought it was about time I stopped procrastinating and just did it.
So it was my beautiful friend Juwairiya aka @thefloralista birthday a few months and we had a girly dinner planned at one of my favourite places in London – The Landmark. This place always transports me to a different realm, a different place, somewhere exotic
So there was 10 of us at dinner, great ladies and even better company! So good that I don’t actually have that many photos of the food, which is surprising even for me. (We do have a lot of selfies of each other though!)
As there were quite a few of us at dinner, we had the set menu, which meant not a lot of things in there weren’t halal. So I got the only thing on the menu that was halal.
I got the Roasted Rack of Lamb. When it arrived I though surely I’m not paying £32 for this little piece of meat. But I love it when I am proved wrong (but let’s face it, it’s a rare occasion 😉 ) the lamb was a medium sized rack of lamb with very little else on the plate, but it was a hella good piece of meat. It was delicious, soft, juicy and cooked right.
I didn’t even get a picture of it but I also got the Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. It was kind of amazing.. I love it when such a simple dessert like a sticky toffee pudding can make its way into the menu of a fine dining restaurant like The Landmark.
More importantly, here are a few pics of us!!
Anyways back to the food, I’ve always been a fan of the afternoon tea at The Landmark but I loved the dinner, although if I’m honest there aren’t that many halal options. I’d love to go back if and when they have more halal options. Although it is and will always be one of my very favourite places for a late night tea and dessert!
