Homemade Rose Ice Cream

The weather is getting better and with Ramadan coming up, I just wanted to get into the summer vibe in a refreshing way. So I decided to whip up (quite literally) a batch of rose ice cream, turned out SO GOOD!

2 cups whipped cream

150g condensed milk

1/4 cup rose syrup (it’s very sweet so adjust according to taste)

1/2 tsp ground cardamom

1/2 tsp chopped pistachios

A handful frozen strawberries

Crushed and dried rose petals (optional) (mine are from my mum’s garden!)

1. Whip the cream until you can see peaks forming. Do not be tempted to overbeat though.

Tip – if you dont have whipped cream just cheat and use vanilla ice cream instead.

2. Mix the condensed milk to the rose syrup and cardamom.

3. Combine the mixture to the whipped cream. Add in the frozen strawberries and rose petals now.

4. Freeze. Keep churning every few hours if you want a smoother consistency.

Once the ice cream is ready, garnish it with some more pistachios and rose petals.
