Chilli Green Beans (side dish)

I posted a recipe for Salmon Teriyaki, where I had these wuick and easy spicy green beans as a side dish and it was such a perfect combo.

Ingredients:

1 packet green beans (or runner beans)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, chopped

2 tbsp garlic and ginger paste

1 tsp red chilli flakes

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

1 lemon zest

Method

  1. Heat a wok over medium-high heat, adding in the olive oil, onion, ginger/garlic paste (be careful as it might spit), lemon zest and chilli flakes. Cooke for 2-3 mins till the onion has slightly caramelised.
  2. Add in the green beans, tossing occasionally. Season with salt and serve with sesame seeds sprinkled on top.
